Core Gameplay Loop

Players start by selecting one of two opposing factions, each vying for control over a shared map made of hexagonal tiles. The primary loop involves collecting raw materials from nearby tiles, then using those materials to construct new hexes that extend your territory. As you build outward, you create pathways that can lead directly to the enemy's home base. The challenge lies in balancing expansion with defense, since every tile placed changes the strategic landscape.

Resource Management

Resources appear on specific hexes and must be gathered by assigning units or structures to those locations. These materials are then processed into building blocks for new tiles or used to upgrade existing structures. Deciding whether to invest in rapid expansion or fortify current positions is a constant tension. Players who neglect resource collection may find themselves unable to respond to an opponent's aggressive push.

Victory Paths

There are two main routes to winning. The direct approach involves constructing a continuous line of hexes to the enemy's flag tile, then moving a unit onto it to capture it. Alternatively, players can focus on building a strong military force, overwhelming the opponent's defenses, and then taking the flag by force. Each path requires different resource priorities and timing, encouraging varied playstyles.

Strategic Depth

While the interface is simple enough for newcomers, the hex-based grid creates complex spatial puzzles. Players must anticipate where the opponent will build next and plan their own tile placements to block or redirect advances. The ability to command captured enemy units after a successful flag capture adds a layer of long-term strategy, as defeated forces can be turned against their former allies in subsequent matches.
